Sugar scrub

Use once a week if you have sensitive skin, and more than once a week for dry or damaged skin.

You can change the amount of ingredients, depending on what consistency you want your scrub to be.

Homemade sugar scrub with all natural products that can be found in your kitchen or local grocery shop.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ingredients:

  • 65g sugar (white sugar or brown sugar-but caster sugar is gentler on the skin than coarse sugar.
  • 20g oil of your choice
  • optional essential oils to make it more personal
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Instructions:

  1. Put all your ingredients into a mixing bowl
  2. Mix until desired consistency is reached depending on skin type
  3. Store in an air-tight jar
  4. Use around 1 tablespoon as needed, and apply onto wet skin and scrub in circular and upward motion to prevent wrinkles. Rinse off with warm water and pat dry with a towel/face cloth

If you want to make an edible lip scrub like the ones they sell in Lush, use an edible oil, caster sugar, colouring and flavouring (optional). Store in a travel size container and use once a week to remove all the dead skin off the surface of your lips to reveal silky soft lips.
